Enhancing MCU IoT Endpoint Security with Arm TrustZone®
Security at the IoT Endpoint is becoming a topic that cannot be left to the last minute or to chance. With billions of new IoT devices expected to connect in the next few years, there are now enough devices deployed for hackers to try and compromise for their own financial gain. The newly available Renesas Advanced (RA) MCUs with Arm® Cortex®-M33 cores feature not only Arm TrustZone for security isolation, but also have a robust secure crypto engine to effortlessly build secure applications to protect against a wide range of direct and side channel attacks.
For this workshop, we will demonstrate the ease of building complex and secure applications with the Flexible Software Package (FSP). We will start with a primer on the FSP to get you acclimated to the tools and environment to be successful in building your secure application. We will then build a solution from scratch that highlights the benefits of isolating secured and unsecured application code with Arm TrustZone. You will see how easy it is to develop with a “security first” approach, with many of the security paradigms embedded directly into the toolchain and IDE.
As part of your participation in this lab, you will receive for free all the tools you need to be successful in building a security-based solution: an RA Arm Cortex-M33 development kit, the Flexible Software Package (FSP), e² studio integrated development environment and all the coursework material. Comprehensive self-paced lab material will also be provided and Renesas experts will be standing by to walk you through all the steps to build a fully functioning solution and to answer any questions you may have in real time.
Registration for the lab is limited. You will be notified if you have a seat reserved in the lab.
